Crane NXT announces appointment of Sandra Joyce to board of directors

Sandra Joyce’s appointment has been announced by the board of directors of Crane NXT Co., a firm that specializes in producing a variety of goods, including those for the gaming industry.

In a news statement on Tuesday, Crane NXT emphasized Joyce’s broad experience in cybersecurity and national security, including both the public and commercial sectors.

In reaction to Joyce’s nomination, Max Mitchell, the current president and CEO of Crane Co., announced his resignation from the board of Crane NXT in late May.

Crane NXT Co. separated from Crane Holdings Co. on April 3 of the prior year and began functioning as a stand-alone publicly listed business.

Max H. Mitchell announced his nomination to the Crane NXT board before to the split. On May 23, 2024, Mitchell will formally leave the board after the conclusion of the separation procedure and Sandra Joyce’s appointment.

According to the press release, Sandra Joyce is now a Vice President at Google Cloud and the CEO of Mandiant Intelligence, which oversees Mandiant’s Global Threat Intelligence Business. She joined Mandiant (previously FireEye Inc.) after it was acquired by Google in 2022. Joyce had intelligence and mission support roles at Battelle Memorial Institute before joining Mandiant. She worked closely with foreign government organizations there.

The chairman of Crane NXT’s board, John Stroup, praised Joyce for her past working with governments throughout the world and her vast knowledge of cybersecurity and threat intelligence, calling her an invaluable addition to the company.

Stroup acknowledged Max Mitchell for his ideas and efforts over the last year that contributed to Crane NXT becoming a publicly listed business.
