Jason Walbridge Joins SkyCity as New CEO

After Michael Ahearne, SkyCity Entertainment Group has named seasoned professional Jason Walbridge as its new CEO.

After relocating to New Zealand, Walbridge, who has eighteen years of expertise at Aristocrat Leisure Ltd., a leading manufacturer of slot machines, will begin his new role in early July.

Julian Cook, the chairman of SkyCity, expressed excitement over Walbridge’s appointment, pointing to his extensive international background in both online and land-based gaming. Cook thinks Walbridge’s direction will guide SkyCity into its upcoming growth phases.

Walbridge has over 20 years of senior executive experience in public organizations, including executive leadership positions and strategic consultancy roles, according to SkyCity.

Currently, Walbridge holds the positions of Executive Chairman of National Entertainment Network LLC, the biggest entertainment route operator in the US, and Strategic Advisor to Aristocrat.

Walbridge has a long history that includes military service in the New Zealand Defence Force, consulting, and past employment with NYX Gaming Group Limited and Aristocrat.

Until Walbridge assumes his new duties, Callum Mallett will serve as Interim CEO.
