76ers guard Danny Green exits Game 6 with left knee injury

Philadelphia guard Danny Green exited Thursday’s Game 6 (LIVE, ESPN) against the Miami Heat with a left knee injury. The setback occurred three minutes in, when teammate Joel Embiid crashed into his veteran teammate’s leg.

Green was carried off the floor and will reportedly undergo an MRI to determine severity of the injury, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The loss of Green, who is averaging 9.0 points on 40% shooting from 3-point range this postseason, further compromises a Philadelphia team on the verge of elimination at the hands of first-place Miami. The 76ers tied their Eastern Conference semifinal series with the Heat at 2-2 before suffering a 35-point loss in Game 5 on Tuesday.
