Galaxy Entertainment Group partners with Capella Hotels and Resorts to debut a luxurious property in Macau

April 26, 2024 Casino & Hotel

The world’s largest gambling company, Galaxy Entertainment Group, has made history by announcing a ground-breaking alliance with Capella Hotels and Resorts to open its flagship resort in Macau.

A press release released on Tuesday states that the much anticipated Capella at Galaxy, which will make its debut in mid-2025, would be Galaxy’s ninth hotel brand among its integrated resorts in Macau.

The 17-story Capella at Galaxy tower, which features 36 Sky Villas and 57 Suites, was created by the Paris-based studio Moinard Bētaille to capture the distinctive golden charm of Galaxy.

With a sun-drenched balcony including a translucent infinity-edge pool, outdoor lounge, sunroom, and hidden winter garden, every Sky Villa promises an incredible experience that allows guests to have a year-round, immersive connection to nature.

The villas are perfect for extravagant gatherings because they have a private cocktail bar, a games lounge, a butler’s pantry, and a karaoke area with a cigar butler and premium collection.

On the other hand, suites have balconies with expansive views of Macau’s unique skyline and private plunge pools.

With excitement about the agreement, Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of Galaxy Entertainment Group, stated, “This partnership underscores our strategic vision to establish unparalleled flagship properties within the Galaxy Macau integrated resort and beyond.”

“We are privileged to join forces with the globally renowned Capella Hotels and Resorts, offering the world’s most discerning guests an authentic and immersive experience in Macau—an international nexus of arts, entertainment, and cultural heritage,” he stated.

The acquisition of Raffles Macau, Andaz Macau, and the Galaxy International Convention Center (GICC) last year were among Galaxy Entertainment’s growth plans.

With modified plans, Galaxy Entertainment hopes to open Galaxy Macau Phase 4 in 2026 in line with its growth strategy. With 900 rooms being repurposed to enhance guest experiences, the expansion project—which had originally called for the addition of 2,500 new rooms—has been reorganized to favor larger and higher-quality lodgings.
