IGT announces changes within Board of Directors, executive team

Starting on March 21, 2024, International Game Technology (IGT) has announced significant changes to its executive team and board of directors.

On the IGT Board of Directors, non-executive director Marco Drago has made the decision to retire. After the Company’s Annual General Meeting on May 14, 2024, he will officially leave the Board after serving out the remainder of his tenure.

Enrico Drago has been appointed as a non-executive director on the IGT Board after Marco Drago’s resignation. In addition, Enrico Drago will relinquish his current role as CEO of IGT PlayDigital.

After serving as the organization’s Senior Vice President of PlayDigital from 2018 until his current position, Enrico Drago assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of the PlayDigital division in September 2021. Furthermore, as of June 2021, he has been De Agostini S.p.A.’s Vice Chairman.

In addition to his current responsibilities as IGT PlayDigital President of iGaming, Gil Rotem will now have the title of IGT PlayDigital President and will answer directly to IGT CEO Vince Sadusky. The changes are scheduled to go into effect on April 1, 2024. Enrico Drago will continue to serve as De Agostini S.p.A.’s vice chairman.

The Executive Chair of the Board of IGT, Marco Sala, expressed gratitude to Marco Drago for his years of service and unwavering commitment to producing outcomes and adding value for IGT stakeholders. Enrico Drago was welcomed to the Board by Sala, who emphasized that his awareness of global expansion opportunities and value-creation mentality align with IGT’s strategic goals.

Looking back, Marco Drago commended the teamwork that enabled IGT to grow and develop into a single, worldwide leader in the gaming industry. He conveyed optimism about IGT’s prospects for the future and its ability to keep expanding via creative initiatives.

IGT PlayDigital CEO Enrico Drago commended the firm for its recent accomplishments, which included rising to the top of both the North American sports betting market and the global iGaming market.

A total of 7% rise in the Global Lottery drove IGT’s $1.1 billion in revenue for the fourth quarter of the previous year. Operating income rose to $256 million, an 11% rise, while the operating income margin grew to 22.7 percent.
