Resorts World Cruises to hold cruises to Philippines, Vietnam

Following the collapse of Genting Hong Kong Ltd., Malaysia’s Lim family founded Resorts World Cruises, a casino cruise line, and they will be conducting cruises to the Philippines and Vietnam out of Hong Kong.

Nha Trang and Da Nang are destinations on the five-night itinerary for the Vietnam cruise, which departs on November 12 and will be followed by four further voyages until April 14 of the following year. In addition, three dates in the first three months of 2019 beginning on January 21 will include five-night Philippines cruises with stops in Boracay and Manila.

The previously planned five-night cruise service, which was intended to visit Okinawa, Japan, and Sanya on the Chinese island of Hainan, is being replaced by these new itineraries. The change’s particular causes were not given in the news statement, although it was noted that it would have an impact on certain visitors’ travel arrangements. As a gesture of goodwill, passengers who choose an alternate route will be given an onboard credit of HKD600 (about US$77) per cabin for their trip as compensation.
