Xixiang Luo Claims Largest Ever Poker Tournament Victory in Korea
The Asian Poker Tour (APT) claims that China’s Xixiang Luo has emerged victorious from the greatest international poker event to have taken place in South Korea.
Luo became victorious from the esteemed APT Jeju Main Event, which took place at the Jeju Shinhwa Resort, after outlasting a strong field of 1,089 contestants in an amazing display of skill and cunning.
Luo defeated fellow Chinese Jianfeng Sun in an intense all-Chinese final, displaying incredible perseverance and earning the coveted KRW429.3 million (US$316,550).
With this achievement, he reaches the pinnacle of glory and elevates his profile to the tenth position on China’s All-Time Money List, having made over $3 million in profits throughout his lifetime.
“Despite a streak of bad luck in recent months, the APT series has proven to be a turning point,” Luo candidly stated, considering his enormous success.
“A decade ago, I set out to win a main event championship within 40 years,” he continued, clearly beaming. I’ve accomplished that dream thirty years ahead of schedule, and now I stand here. Indeed!”
This momentous occasion underscores the APT’s position as the premier poker platform and marks a turning point for the organization.
The APT previously met in South Korea in September 2023 in Paradise City, during the APT Incheon series.
