Macau casino supervisor, accomplice arrested for falsifying membership points
An accomplice and the supervisor of a casino in Macau were taken into custody by police after they used membership points to deceive the organization out of HK$97,000 ($12,400).
Local media reports state that on this month’s 21st, the casino made contact with the Macau Judiciary Police. The defendant, identified as Li, was accused of using the computer system to manipulate the member points record since January of this year.
Li lied about how much and how long her partner had been credited for gaming, and she made up points to get freebies like gift cards for groceries, hotel stays, and promotional chips. The fraudulent operations caused the casino to lose more than HK$97,000.
After apprehending two individuals, a suspect was discovered while working. According to investigations, the two suspects may have divided the fake enterprise’s profits.
