Ainsworth announces Raptor cabinet to be installed by the end of 2024

December 14, 2023 World Casino & HotelEvents & Announcements

Ainsworth Game Technology Ltd., a manufacturer of slot machines, announced that their newest Raptor cabinet—an A-STAR family member—would be installed prior to the end of this year.

The Raptor cabinet, which was unveiled at the October Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, has purportedly received sanction in multiple North American locations, the company reports in a press release.

In 2024, according to a spokesperson, the Raptor cabinet will be deployed outside of North America; however, the precise date of these deployments is not yet known. The company asserts that the Raptor cabinet features a cylindrical above-monitor speaker to enhance the player’s aural experience, in addition to a cylindrical display for player tracking. A 27-inch superstructure, an 18.5-inch touchscreen button deck, and a 49-inch J-Curve display are contained within the cabinet.

The company stated in a press release that “San Bao Dragons” and “San Bao Pandas” will be playable on the Raptor cabinet upon its initial release. Deron Hunsberger, president of Ainsworth North America, emphasized the substantial financial commitment made by the organization towards product development. He mentioned two prominent examples: the San Bao series and the Raptor cabinet.

Furthermore, Ainsworth revealed its intentions to unveil two additional game series on the Raptor during the initial six months of 2024: “Jackpot Kingdom” and “Oriental Gongs.” These games, both developed in Australia, feature unique takes on the Hold and Respin gameplay mechanisms.

Ainsworth’s October installation of twenty-four A-Star terminals at the City of Dreams Manila casino resort signified an industry-changing event in Asia. According to media reports, the firm also retained Macquarie Capital in November as its financial consultant to conduct a comprehensive analysis of all potential opportunities, including the possibility that the Australia-listed company could go private.
