Representatives from each of the six Macau gaming concessionaires will participate in a high-profile panel discussion titled “Pioneering a New Macau” at the MGS Summit which is set to start today.

Addressing the day-to-day effects of the new 10-year gaming concessions, this high-level conversation will provide unique insights into Macau’s ongoing gaming landscape shift.

The discussion will shed light on the purposeful shift from a traditional VIP market to a mainstream market that is given significant attention. This shift is consistent with the government of Macau Special Administrative Region’s steadfast dedication to economic diversification. Interestingly, the government has allocated MOP$109 billion (US$13.6 billion) for investments in other non-gaming enterprises over the next ten years. These initiatives include a variety of sectors, such as entertainment, sports, community development, health, maritime tourism, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).

The esteemed panel will discuss the intricate effects of rapid technological advancements on the gaming industry, with Professor Davis Fong of the University of Macau serving as moderator. As Macau embraces a more digital environment, the discussion will focus on how concessionaires navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by developing technology.

Distinguished members of Macau’s casino industry panelists include Craig Fullalove, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of Wynn Macau; Frank McFadden, Chief Operating Officer – Gaming & Hospitality of SJM Resorts; Buddy Lam, EVP, Corporate Office of Galaxy Entertainment Group; Raymond Lo, SVP and Property General Manager of Altira Macau and Mocha Clubs of Melco Resorts; Hubert Wang, President and COO of MGM China; and Wilfred Wong, President and Executive Director of Sands China.

This diverse panel of business leaders will talk about how they see the gaming landscape in Macau changing quickly, which will be important information for understanding how the gaming and entertainment industries in the area will develop in the future.
