On schedule for its ‘progressive opening’ for the rest of the year, Galaxy Entertainment Group has opened to a limited number of guests. The Raffles is part of Galaxy’s Phase 3 project, which the company initially stated would open last June.
The Raffles features about 450 suites and will include bars, spa facilities, and a Michelin star chef-manned restaurant. Other projects of Phase 3 include the Galaxy International Convention Center and the 16,000-set Galaxy Arena.
In its Q4 2022 report statement this February, Galaxy stated its focus on the development of Phase 4.
“We are now firmly focused on the development of Phase 4, which is already well underway. We see the premium market evolving with this segment preferring higher quality and more spacious rooms,” the report stated.
Another new hotel at Galaxy Macau, Andaz Macau, is part of Phase 4 and will have 700 rooms and suites.
Galaxy said that Phases 3 and 4 combined will have about 3,000 rooms and villas across 400,000 square feet of MICE space and a 500,000 square feet-wide multi-purpose arena with food, retail, and casino establishments.
“As you can see, we remain highly confident about the future of Macau where Cotai Phases 3 & 4 will support Macau’s vision of becoming a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure,” the same report statement last February said.
