Senior Systems Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Supports team manager and performs management duties when team lead is absent or out of office
- Provide training and guidance to Level 1 and 2 engineers
- Assists in strategies to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals
- Create reports to update team’s progress
- Monitor existing systems to ensure structural integrity
- Implements the development and installation of new hardware and software
- Install and configure operating systems and other software and routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues
- Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety
- Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in the related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field required (Master’s preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in system engineering and IT support required
- Proven track record of success in installation and maintenance of LINUX-based and Windows-based software
- Experience creating automated scripts
- Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement and protect trade secrets
- Exceptional system administration skills and knowledge
