Business Analyst
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Data analyst perform a number of specific duties as part of Business Intelligence efforts. These are the following accountabilities and responsibilities:
- Identify what business needs, what problems it is facing and how to optimize its operations
- Develop a new research process for both quantitative and qualitative approach
- Recommend new studies and lead team efforts in creating new research
- Output Creation and Recommendation reporting
- Use data and reports from within the team to identify problems and solutions for business
- Monitoring if the forecasted success criteria meet at a certain level after the development
- Creating Business Insights and Analytics
- Ensure all outputs of BI are well studied and analyzed
- Creating the output and result of the studies
- Creation of market trends monitoring and other outside information
- Ensuring the delivery of Reports and studies on time to the BI Team Lead
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Management or specialized training/certification. Or equivalent work experience
- One to three years of experience as a financial or business data analyst
- Experience in data analysis programs such as R, SPSS, SAS, etc.
- Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
- Ability to use SQL, PowerBI (or similar) and Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs and charts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers
- Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions
- Tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results
- General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process and information flow
