Assistant IT Operations Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Technical
- Assists the Senior IT Operations Manager to oversee the management of business, network, and game studio IT devices.
- Assists the Senior IT Operations Manager to ensure compliance to IT operations policies.
- Assists the Senior IT Operations Manager to oversee resolution of escalations and completion of IT projects.
- Assists the Senior IT Operations Manager to initiate enhancement in IT infrastructure and processes.
- Human Resources
- Ensure that the Gaming, Network and Systems Teams KPIs are met.
- Performance evaluation of team leads of Gaming, Network and Systems.
- Manage conflict within the department to ensure best interpersonal environment.
- Assists the Senior IT Operations Manager to manage manpower of Gaming, Network and Systems Teams.
- Assists the Senior IT Operations Manager to ensure compliance of department to company policies.
- Others
Assists the Senior IT Operations Manager for Business operation to:
- Direct operational IT planning, including planning IT projects and the allocation of manpower resources.
- Oversee the financial aspects of their IT team or dept., including purchasing, budgeting & budget review.
- Coordinate IT staffing, including hiring, supervision, scheduling, professional development and discipline.
- Collaborate with and maintain communications with executives and department heads in the organization.
- Design, implement and enforce the policies, procedures and best practices for their IT team or department.
- Research IT solutions and make recommendations for the improvement of IT systems and the IT infrastructure.
- Negotiate and approve technology vendor, outsourcing, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
- Should have superior skills in team leadership, employee development and interpersonal communication.
- Should have a strong command of project management principles, procedures and best practices.
- Minimum of 10 years working experience in the IT industry
- Proven working experience as an IT manager or relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
- Expertise in data Centre management and data governance
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
- Ability to manage personnel
- BS in Computer Science, MIS or similar field
