PMP, IGT extends partnership for another 10 years

Pan Malaysian Pools (PMP) and International Game Technology (IGT) have decided to continue their relationship for an additional 10 years. By this partnership, the Malaysian lottery will be brought up to date with new technologies.

PMP will get IGT’s Aurora central lottery system, which will assist in running the lottery’s commercial side. This technology will be incorporated into PMP’s current proprietary dmcGO iLottrey system as part of the Omnia omnichannel solution.

According to Tan Kong Han, Managing Director of PMP, IGT has shown over the last 12 years to have innovative knowledge of the lottery, and players’ experiences would be improved by the sophisticated features of the Aurora central system.

PMP will have access to a number of tools in Aurora, including as the Terminal Access Gateway, the application management center, and the administrative portal.

According to Jay Gendron, IGT’s COO of Global Lottery, this contract extension marks a new phase in the modernization of lottery offerings in Malaysia, supporting PMP’s business expansion and maximizing revenue for The Community Chest, a charitable trust that PMP funds and which is dedicated to giving financial support to Malaysian educational institutions.
