PNP reports over 4,000 victims of POGO-related crimes
According to the Philippine National Police (PNP), 4,039 people were the targets of crimes using Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) in the first half of this year.
Reports state that this number represents a significant increase from the 128 recorded POGO-related offenses in 1H22, partly as a result of police “intensifying operations”.
The numbers were released amid a surge of continued support for the complete closure of POGO activities across the nation.
