Macau lifts vaccine requirement for arrivals

Macau officials announced on Thursday that incoming travellers will no longer have to prove they have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in order to enter the SAR.

However, arrivals will still need to have a negative PCR test result.

Authorities said in a statement that the change will reduce inconvenience for travellers, noting that most arrivals have already been fully vaccinated.

The gambling hub reported seven new Covid cases on Wednesday.

People arriving in Macau from Hong Kong have to spend seven days at a quarantine hotel.
