Macau relaxes testing for travelers from Guangdong ahead of May holidays
The Macau government has relaxed its testing requirements for travelers from Guangdong province ahead of the May Golden Week holidays.
Visitors from the province, which is Macau’s most important market, will now need a negative Covid test 72 hours before arrival from Monday. The requirement was previously for a test within 48 hours.
The five-week May holiday will run from April 30th to May 4th and was the busiest time for Macau’s casinos in 2021.
