Macau to Enhance Tracing Via New Health Code System For Licensed Venues
The Macao SAR Government has launched a new health app that will see all patrons entering any of the city’s licensed establishments required to scan in via a venue code.
The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) said Wednesday that it had written to venue operators – including hotels, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, saunas, massage parlours, health clubs and karaoke lounges – informing them that posting venue codes at their premises was a Health Bureau requirement and that codes must be displayed starting 15 January 2022.
Inspections will be conducted regularly to ensure compliance, the MGTO said.
