Galaxy International Convention Center to host major international sports summit

The Galaxy International Convention Center in Macau will host the first Greater Bay Area International Sports Business Summit on February 23 and 24.

Prominent figures such as Dwayne Wade and Li Ning have confirmed their presence, in addition to approximately 300 industry professionals and 35 speakers. A broad variety of sports-related subjects will be covered during the summit, such as marketing, professional competitions, investment, fan economies, and the place of women in sports.

Alibaba chairman Joseph C. Tsai, basketball great Dwayne Wade, and Li Ning, the inventor of the sports brand of the same name, are among the distinguished visitors, but the whole speaker lineup is yet unknown.

The selection of Macau as the event’s location is essential since the city’s non-gaming sector is growing quickly, and sports entertainment is expected to contribute significantly, making up around 15% of this increase. The Greater Bay Area’s contribution to tying China into the broader Asian and international sports scene will also be a topic of discussion.
