Four Arrested for Cricket Betting in India
The Andhra Pradesh Police in India intercepted an illegal cricket betting operation that was organising bets on Pakistan Super League matches.
The group was arrested via a joint operation by the City Task Force and PM Palem Police.
The organised bets are believed to have occurred from 9 June at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The police managed to arrest four individuals that have been named in local reports; they also managed to seize communication devices that were being used to host illegal betting.
The seized equipment includes a set-up box that contained 29 mobile phones, headsets, SIM cards, two laptops, two TV sets, five account books, a router and INR1590 ($21.70).
