MBS to host career fair to fill positions across various departments
A job fair is scheduled for March 3 and 4 at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands (MBS), which is owned by Las Vegas Sands Corp. The purpose of the employment fair is to fill roles in several sectors, including casino operations.
This year, the resort plans to provide over 1,000 full-time, temporary, and internship employment spread over 70 departments.
The smart employment fair last year led to the conducting of almost 1,800 in-person interviews. As a component of Singapore’s casino duopoly, MBS plans to provide a wide range of skills to its 11,500 staff members.
The expo, which provides prospective workers with information on future opportunities in hospitality at Marina Bay Sands, is an annual event that Senior Vice President for Human Resources Chan Yit Foon highlighted. She emphasized the resort’s commitment to being an equal-opportunity employer and recruiting a staff that is inclusive and varied.
Facilities, food and beverage, cybersecurity, butler services, museum operations, resort attractions, and casino operations are just a few of the industries that are recruiting.
MBS is currently renovating Tower 3, the hotel lobby, and the Sands SkyPark rooftop for a total of US$750 million. on addition to investing $1 billion on Towers 1 and 2, Las Vegas Sands plans to make the public debut of Tower 3’s renovated rooms early in 2019.
The restoration of the Singaporean rooms is not the same as the plan put out by Las Vegas Sands to create a fourth hotel tower with around 587 rooms as part of an SGD4.5 billion (US$3.3 billion) resort expansion.
