State Minister wants online gambling apps completely eradicated
Online gambling apps will be completely eliminated, according to Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Bangladesh’s State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, who made this announcement on Sunday.
He encouraged the relevant authorities to make a concerted effort to eliminate online gambling apps completely.
The state minister made this choice while visiting the newly built Cyber Threat Detection and Response Center at the city’s Telecommunication Department Headquarters.
Palak emphasized that propaganda on social media presented a serious danger to individuals, groups, and society at large. He gave the necessary authorities the order to move quickly to stop such acts at any cost.
During an idea-sharing discussion, Palak advised Telecommunication Department staff on how to do more with less, according to a PID press release.
Director-General of the Telecommunications Department Rafiqul Islam, Additional Secretary Golam Sarware Kainat, Secretary of the Posts and Telecommunications Division Abu Hena Morshed Zaman, and other participants attended the meeting.
