Macau concessionaires plans Christmas events in six old districts

The Christmas season festivities in six historical locations have been organized by the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) Government in collaboration with the six concessionaires of the city. Concessionaires including Wynn, Melco Resorts, MGM, Sands China, and Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) are undertaking the renovation of antiquated zones.

GEG intends to furnish the Lai Chi Vun Shipyard with awe-inspiring Christmas scene exhibits and interactive kiosk activities on December 23, December 25, and December 31. Mount Fortress Garden will be the site of colossal Christmas displays, photo kiosks, and light shows hosted by Melco Resorts from December 16 to January 1. The outdoor area adjacent to Oficinas Navais No. 2 at MGM will be decorated from December 23 to December 25 and December 30 to December 31 with a monumental bamboo lion head and themed lighter fare.

The Wind Orchestra of Hachioji High School in Japan and the Macau Youth Symphonic Band, comprising of around 230 members each, will deliver themed performances in collaboration with the Macau Band Directors Association and Sands China. December will see a light display presented by SJM along Avenida do Almeida Ribeiro, and the Ponte 16 outdoor area will be filled with Christmas bazaars.

In addition to light installations and a Christmas tree adorning the Rua da Felicidade promenade, Wynn will perform improv, dance, and music. The Christmas-themed Forlorn Street event hosted by Wynn will also feature a marketplace selling cultural products and artwork. The programs are intended to contribute to a more joyous atmosphere in the community during the holiday season.
