MGM Resorts unveils vision for fully-fledged integrated resort in New York

MGM Resorts intends to convert Yonkers, New York’s Empire City Casino into an integrated resort known as MGM Empire City. The concept necessitates obtaining one of the three commercial casino licenses that are already available.

The casino floor will be entirely renovated and expanded as the primary objective of the first phase. This phase will also include the implementation of state-of-the-art table games with live dealers, high-stakes gambling areas, and slot machines. The architectural designs of the resort include a 5,000-person capacity entertainment venue that is a first for the resort. This venue will accommodate A-list performers and events with its unequaled views and cutting-edge acoustics.

Furthermore, MGM Empire City has plans to establish a cutting-edge sportsbook called BetMGM, replete with stadium-style seating, VIP spaces, many wagering devices, and specialty food and beverage offerings. The addition of a contemporary steakhouse, a casual Italian-American bistro, and a genuine Asian noodle bar and restaurant will all enhance the dining experience. MGM Empire City’s restoration plan portrays the casino and entertainment complex as a one-stop store.

Bill Hornbuckle conveyed his pleasure that the company maintained its heritage of providing top-notch

gaming and entertainment experiences. Tens of thousands of new employment are expected to be generated by the planned development, which would also enhance the state’s economy and entirely transform the area.

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano ardently greeted the opportunity, emphasizing the substantial economic lift, employment generation, and rehabilitation of Empire City as a leading center of entertainment. If the commercial casino license is awarded to MGM Empire City, it may have a huge effect on the local wagering and entertainment scene and establish the company as a significant participant in the market.
