October 19, 2023 Philippines Casino & Hotel

Construction of the LET Westside integrated resort in Manila, Philippines, is proceeding swiftly in anticipation of its grand inauguration, with plans to open the casino in late 2024. The casino’s management has finished hiring important personnel.

The first significant appointment was Damian Quayle as Executive Vice President of Operations. Quayle brings a plethora of experience to this role from his previous role as Chief Operating Officer at Star Entertainment in Australia. He immediately set about putting his squad together.

Kevin Forde has been named LET Westside’s Vice President of Table Games. He has a great deal of experience in the gaming industry. Forde has worked for Galaxy Entertainment Group in Macau, where he was the manager of casino operations at StarWorld and assistant vice president for mass gaming at Galaxy Macau. Because of his prior role as General Manager of Product and Strategy at Star Entertainment Group, he and Quayle got along well.

Ian Gardner will be the Vice President of Electronic Gaming Machines. Gardner has an outstanding history, having managed slot operations at famous venues including The Venetian Macau, MGM Grand, Wynn Palace in Macau, and The Grand Ho Tram in Vietnam. After thereafter, he traveled to Singapore to take a position as Vice President of Gaming Operations at Resorts World Sentosa IR.

The integrated resort is expected to come with a price tag of around US$1.1 billion, according to Inside Asian Gaming. This development is being spearheaded by Suntrust Resort Holdings, a branch of LET Group Holdings, a Hong Kong-listed company formerly known as Suncity Group.

Once development is complete, the resort will include 400 gaming tables and 1,200 slot machines in addition to 450 hotel rooms.
