Sportradar forges agreement with Taiwan Sports Lottery

Through a strategic agreement with Taiwan Sports Lottery, Sportradar, a top sports technology firm recognized for its services to lotteries and betting operators globally, has strengthened its position in the Asia Pacific area. Sportradar was selected as the official technology and services supplier for Taiwan Sports Lottery after a highly competitive international bidding process, positioning it to modernize the sports betting experience in Taiwan from 2024 to 2033.

ADATA Technology, Taiwan Sports Lottery Company Ltd (TSLC), the operator, China Trust Bank, and Sportradar are all participants in this relationship. Ted Lin, the president of Taiwan Sports Lottery Company Ltd., emphasized Sportradar’s technology advancements as a game-changer for Taiwan’s sports bettors, intending to reimagine their experience.

Carsten Koerl, CEO of Sportradar, highlighted the company’s vast expertise dealing with lotteries throughout the globe and the strength of its ORAKO system, which provides a full end-to-end solution for lotteries. Koerl expressed confidence in the consortium’s capacity to provide reliable and high-quality betting experiences whether via brick-and-mortar locations, online platforms, or mobile devices.

The ORAKO system from Sportradar will be implemented in over 2,600 retail locations across Taiwan as part of this partnership, and it will also power the lottery’s mobile and web services. The agreement will include streaming and marketing services in addition to player management and sports betting platforms, substantially improving Taiwan’s sports betting environment. This strategic partnership improves Sportradar’s position in the Asia Pacific, becoming an important step in their aspirations to expand internationally.
