In 2024, Macau will host the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia casino trade event, according to the event’s organizers. According to a statement, there will not be a G2E Asia event in Singapore in 2019. The event, titled “G2E Asia and Asian IR Expo 2024,” will take place from June 4 to 6 at Sands China Ltd.’s Venetian Macao casino resort.
Reed Exhibitions and the American Gaming Association co-produce G2E Asia. According to the organizers, the combined event will generate new opportunities for the gaming and integrated resort industries in Asia. They anticipate 100 exhibitors and 8,000 attendees at the 2024 Macau event, based on the success of the 2023 events.
Yip Je Choong, Senior Vice President of Commercial for Reed Exhibitions in Asia-Pacific, expressed enthusiasm over the return of G2E Asia to Macau, describing it as the most anticipated and prestigious event in the region. He mentioned an impressive lineup of keynote speakers, a bustling exhibition floor, and an informative program.
The organization of G2E Asia-branded events in Macau was suspended for three years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The most recent, titled “Asian IR Expo + G2E Asia 2023,” was held in Macau in July, signifying the event’s return after a two-year absence. From 2007 to 2019, G2E Asia was conducted annually in Macau; however, due to pandemic-related restrictions, the event was canceled from 2020 to 2022. In 2022, G2E Asia held a special edition in Singapore, which was followed by another G2E Asia event in early 2019.
