Spotlight on Georgia: site of the first-ever Gaming Crossroads Summit

Sitting at the crossroads between Europe and Asia, Georgia is in a unique posture to become the next gaming hub for both ‘worlds.’ The Caucasian country is largely a service-based economy with an automotive manufacturing sector. The country is also an important international transport hub.

Georgia will host the first ever iGaming Crossroads Summit in its capital city Tbilisi from August 1-2. The 2-day summit comes with the backdrop of an emerging iGaming industry in Georgia.

Georgia is home to various iGaming companies like CrystalBet, Crocobet, and Smartsoft, with Adjarabet being the most recent operator to set up shop. The country is largely dominated by European operators, but the unique geography of the country makes it an emerging investment destination for Asian operators.

The 2-day summit will draw international gaming sector operators, software providers, payment gateway providers, gaming advisers, lawyers, regulators, government officials and other iGaming stakeholders from the region.

It can be recalled that just this year, the Georgian government has called for a ban of gambling for certain people– under 25, public employees and the ‘socially vulnerable.’

The Eurasian country has about 10,000 people employed in the iGaming industry and with the market growing at about more than 7 percent year on year, it’s set to have more than 30,000 active online casino players by 2027.

The inaugural iGaming summit will have ticket options for delegates, affiliates and suppliers. Ticker prices range from 800 to 1,500 euros. iGaming leaders The Casino Factory Founder Anthony Keller, TRIIONFT Founder and CEO Daniel Gunba, blockchain experts and Georgian government officials will be speakers at the event.
