Five arrested for gambling in Ludhiana

Five persons have been arrested in two cases of gambling. The police arrested three persons, identified as Hitesh Sood of Company Bagh, Karnail Singh and Rajinder Kumar, both residents of Company Bagh under Sections 13-A,3 and 67 of the Gambling Act from a glass shop, adjoining Jai Balaji Dairy on Tibba Road. The police also seized Rs 2,170, paper slips, writing pad and a ball point pen from the spot. In another raid at Bharpur Market on Tibba Road, two persons, identified as Sachin Kumar of Geeta Nagar and Rajinder Kumar were arrested and charged under Sections 13-A, 3 and 67 of the Gambling Act. The police said satta slips and Rs 1,360 were seized from the spot.
