Blacklist Becomes Lone Pinoy Survivor In Honor of Kings Worlds, As BOOM Esports Falters

Only one Filipino team remains in the 2024 Honor of Kings (HOK) World Championship, while Malaysian and Indonesian squads will duke it out for the first Grand Finals slot.

After becoming the first Filipino team to beat a Malaysian squad with the 3-2 win over Team Secret in round 1 of the knockout stages, Blacklist International fell to home squad Dominator Esports 0-3, to move down to the elimination bracket, after their encounter last October 20, 2024.

Blacklist International will face Malaysian squad Nova Esports on October 25 for survival.

Meanwhile, Filipino powerhouse BOOM Esports succumbed to Malaysia’s NOVA Esports to exit early into the playoffs stage.

Home team Dominator Esports of Indonesia and Malaysia Black Shrew Esports will be facing each other for the first Grand Finals slot on Saturday, October 26.

The 2024 Honor of Kings World Championship is the first crowning series open to global teams after HOK made the game available outside of China this year.
