Authorities have arrested 10 Chinese citizens allegedly involved in illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO) in Clark, Pampanga.

According to an exclusive report by Saleema Refran on 24 Oras, the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) executed seven search warrants in various villas, townhouses, and units within the Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone.

During the raids, authorities confiscated computers, gadgets, cellphones, and safety vaults believed to be used in the illegal POGO activities.

The apprehended Chinese citizens will be handed over to the Bureau of Immigration (BI) for profiling and verification.

No statement has been released on the matter yet.

Additionally, the BI arrested another Chinese man in Tuba, Benguet, over the weekend. This suspect is wanted in China for large-scale fraud.

Authorities revealed that the man has an INTERPOL red notice for defrauding nearly twelve thousand people and stealing 7 billion yuan (P56 billion) in China.

Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) Undersecretary Gilbert Cruz stated, “We consider him the mastermind of the POGO and scamming operations here in the Philippines. He serves as a consultant for multiple POGO hubs.”

The suspect was also found with a fake Cambodian passport and is currently in the custody of BI and PAOCC while the investigation continues.
