Macau’s Gaming Tax Revenue Rises to MOP$7.78 Billion in June
Macau’s gaming tax revenue hit MOP$7.78 billion (US$967 million) in June, up 8.9% from May’s MOP$7.15 billion (US$889 million) and 29% higher year-on-year.
This reflects May’s gross gaming revenue of MOP$20.2 billion (US$2.52 billion), as reported by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.
For the first half of 2024, gaming tax totaled MOP$44.8 billion (US$5.57 billion), up 67.2% year-on-year, according to the Financial Services Bureau (DSF).
The Macau SAR government estimates FY24 gaming tax revenue at MOP$83.6 billion (US$10.4 billion), with a budget execution rate of 53.6% from January to June.
Total government revenue for the first half of the year reached MOP$52.4 billion (US$6.51 billion), a 56.4% increase year-on-year, with 85.5% from special gaming tax.
