Suspended Mayor Guo Denies POGO Links, Seeks Fair Probe
Beleaguered Mayor Alice Guo of Bamban, who is accused of being involved with POGO and is facing criminal charges, sent a letter to the Presidential Palace.
She fiercely refutes claims that she engaged in illicit POGO activity, money laundering, or spying.
The letter, according to Guo’s attorney, requests a “fair investigation” from the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC), which intends to prosecute Guo.
Additionally, the PAOCC is looking into any connections between recent raids in Pampanga and POGO activities in Guo’s town.
Guo’s six-month suspension is still in effect due to accusations of misbehavior and duty dereliction.
