Casino Operator Denies Embezzlement Rumors After Executive Departures

The owner of Newport World Resorts, Alliance Global Group (AGI), has refuted accusations in the media that recent senior departures were related to embezzlement.

The exits of Bernard Than (CFO), Hakan Dagtas (COO), and Kingson Sian (President) sparked concerns, according to local sources. In a document, AGI said that their exits were prearranged and a part of a one-year transition since AGI fully acquired TIHGI (formerly a joint venture) in May 2023.

Sian postponed her retirement to supervise the transition, and Than and Dagtas lost their positions to create room for AGI’s leadership. These actions align with AGI CEO Kevin Tan’s dedication to upholding strong moral standards across the board.

The new COO and CEO are Lance Gautreaux and Nilo Rodriguez, respectively.
