Danish Gambling Authority Tightens Reporting for Online Games

May 27, 2024 Denmark iGaming & Gambling

By enforcing additional reporting guidelines, the Danish Gambling Authority (DGA) is strengthening its control over online gaming. Before the changes take effect in 2025, stakeholders are urged to offer their opinions.

The changes place a strong emphasis on transparency and responsible gaming. Significant modifications encompass the disclosure of fixed-odds wagers as distinct transactions, comprehensive reporting of betting odds and event details (including sports and nations), and more stringent reporting of Random Number Generators (RNGs) employed in virtual games.

The requirements for poker reporting have also been revised, including new requirements for manager games, tournament victory lists, and various forms of poker.

The DGA emphasizes that the purpose of these changes is to balance industry aims with regulatory objectives.

This action comes after the Danish Gambling Association (DGA) declared success in its 2013 market liberalization, which allowed for the entry of private online gambling companies.
