Panay police arrest 3 individuals for gambling, possessing firearm during Holy Week

Three people were caught by police in Barangay Buga, Leon, on Good Friday, March 29, during an operation to stop illegal betting. One of them was caught with a gun that wasn’t legal.

Three people were arrested in Alimodian, Iloilo. They were Jerry Cabingan, 31, Jovanie Cabingan, 28, and Roger Aligor, 51. They were all from Barangay Buga.

Captain John Predic Padilla, who is in charge of the Leon police, said that even though there were a lot of gamers, only three were arrested because the others left so quickly.

Padilla said that when the suspects were caught, Aligor was found with an unlicensed.38 caliber gun and six rounds of ammunition.
