SkyCity appoints new Chief Information Officer

SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited in New Zealand has appointed Andrew McPherson to the position of Chief Information Officer, contingent upon obtaining all necessary regulatory permissions.

McPherson held the position of Interim Chief Information Officer of SkyCity since November 2023.

SkyCity claims that McPherson, who formerly held important leadership positions in the New Zealand technology sector, including Chief Technology Officer at Stuff Limited and Head of National Design at Spark, adds a “wealth of experience” to his new position.

Additionally, after a ruling by the South Australian Court of Appeal for SkyCity to pay an additional casino charge of AU$13 million ($8.6 million), the company recently announced the employment of an interim Chief Operating Officer for New Zealand.
