WIPO, ESIC to partner for improvement of ADR mechanisms within global esports
The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a specialized agency of the United Nations, have established a partnership to enhance Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) techniques in the global esports and video game industries.
Establishing this collaboration is essential to creating the framework required to effectively oversee and reduce disputes in these rapidly expanding regions.
In order to enhance and implement cutting-edge ADR mechanisms for expertly and impartially resolving disputes in video games and esports, the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center—which is well-known for its expertise in resolving intellectual property (IP) disputes—will work with ESIC, which is well-known for its dedication to esports integrity.
The alliance will focus on many important areas, including conducting joint awareness-raising initiatives, identifying and developing impartial experts with particular knowledge in video game and esports dispute resolution, and so forth.
In order to further the relationship and increase the effectiveness and equity of conflict resolution in the video game and esports industries, both organizations will make use of their experience and knowledge in their respective fields.
