Sands China launches direct bus service from Venetian Macao to HK Airport
The operator of a casino in Macau, Sands China Ltd., has announced that starting on Friday, March 1st, there will be a direct bus service from its Venetian Macao resort to Hong Kong International Airport via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge.
Furthermore, the company plans to start processing pre-flight passenger registrations for certain airlines in mid-March.
An official from Sands China said that the bus services are not reserved for business visitors, but rather are available to the general public on a first-come, first-served basis. Still, passengers have to go through the airport’s baggage drop process.
Asiana Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Greater Bay Airlines, HK Express, and Hong Kong Airlines will be the first airlines to have access to the upcoming pre-flight registration service. Sands China intends to upgrade its pre-flight registration system for travelers at a later time to include a bag-drop service.
Sands China claims that both individuals and groups would have a better travel experience with the pre-flight registration and direct bus services selected. In addition, these services will take care of accessibility concerns for participants in meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibits (MICE) held in Macau.
Direct bus transfers and future aircraft check-in services for certain airlines are something that Sands China’s senior vice president of hotel operations, Kris Kaminsky, is excited to see implemented. Kaminsky emphasized that his esteemed clients will experience unmatched comfort and convenience from these offerings.
