Stefan Krenn has been appointed to the executive board of Novomatic AG, a producer of gaming equipment located in Austria, effective February 15. According to a press release from the company, Krenn joins Ryszard Presch and Johannes Gratzl on the board.

The chairman of Novomatic’s supervisory board, Bernd Oswald, expressed his satisfaction with Krenn’s appointment, pointing out that he is a seasoned manager and well-known expert inside the company. Oswald said that Krenn had played a significant role in the expansion of Novomatic and had made significant strategic contributions in recent years.

Since joining Novomatic in 2015, Stefan Krenn has held positions as secretary general, manager of the company’s global division, and, most recently, an authorized representative. In addition, he is a member of the supervisory board and managing director for other Novomatic businesses.

“Novomatic is a leading global company, and I am fully committed to ensuring its long-term success, future expansion, and clear positioning in international markets,” Krenn said in response to his appointment.

Although Novomatic has long been well-established in Europe and the Americas, the company has been concentrating on growing the range of casino gaming machines it offers in the Asia-Pacific area. The Australian manufacturer of slot machines, Ainsworth Game Technology Ltd., is owned by Novomatic to the tune of 52%.

The news release states that the Novomatic group employs over 24,500 people and has about 300 enterprises spread across more than 100 countries.
