January 8, 2024 World Crime & LegaliGaming & Gambling

The iGaming platform supplier SOFTSWISS’s Managed Services solution’s Anti-Fraud team reportedly assisted clients in collecting over €13 million in 2023, according to the company.

The team finished over 100,000 works in a year, which is a 62% increase in output from the year before. Among the duties were responding to requests from operators, player verifications, reports about suspicious conduct, and other tasks.

Money laundering accounted for a smaller percentage of the fraud that the SOFTSWISS Anti-Fraud team discovered, with bonus abuse accounting for the bulk of cases. Additional instances included various forms of fraud, abuse of the payment system, and chargeback issues. The team also successfully addressed over 200 player issues that were brought to the attention of authorities or industry forums.

The team’s dedication to carefully analyzing each challenging scenario and offering operators advice on how to handle issues before they arise was emphasized by Anti-Fraud Team Lead Ilya Nesterov. By promptly resolving player disputes and complaints, the team not only prevented fraud but also helped SOFTSWISS customers save an additional €350,000.

The expansion of iGaming enterprises depends on SOFTSWISS Managed Services, which includes Anti-Fraud Support. Since implementing the Managed Services solution, more than 200 casino enterprises have gained access to vital services like Content Management, Player Retention and Reactivation, VIP Player Support, and First Line Support.

A sophisticated automated system to monitor players for suspicious activities and determine risk levels is also being developed by SOFTSWISS as part of its commitment to responsible gaming. The system aims to enhance the precision and effectiveness of potential threat detection by using an extensive range of readily available metrics and indicators.
