Melco Resorts joins other concessionaires to provide bonus to employees

Melco Resorts & Entertainment Ltd. is the fifth of Macau’s six casino operators to formally declare that work finished in 2023 would get a discretionary bonus of one month’s salary.

Before Chinese New Year, which falls on February 10 this year, the incentive will be awarded to qualified non-management coworkers in Macau.

On April 1, 2024, Melco Resorts also said that all eligible non-management employees in Macau would get a 2.5% increase in base pay. Lawrence Ho Yau Lung, Chairman and CEO of Melco Resorts, acknowledged the commitment, allegiance, and diligence of his qualified non-management colleagues. Their commitment to maintaining Melco’s service quality and offering consumers distinctive experiences was commended by him.

This announcement is consistent with the recent trend of Macau’s casino owners announcing pay increases and discretionary incentives as a way of appreciating the accomplishments of their employees. If certain conditions were satisfied, Macau’s Secretary for Economy and Finance, Lei Wai Nong, has pleaded with casino operators to think about increasing employee benefits in 2024.
