Velvix Corp inks agreement with Max Fair Group to distribute slot games in PH

January 5, 2024 Philippines Casino & HotelIndustry Updates

Renowned manufacturer of hardware and software for slot machines, Velvix Corp., has inked a significant deal with Max Fair Group.

According to the terms of the deal, Velvix’s slot game products will be distributed in the Philippines by Max Fair. Viewing this partnership as a calculated move, Velvix hopes to expand its slot game offerings within the expanding Philippine market.

With operations in Asia and the US, Velvix was established in 2019 by rebranding the electronic gaming machine (EGM) part of XSGroup. The company identifies itself as a developer with expertise in EGM cabinets and software tailored for the North American and Asia-Pacific markets.

It is anticipated that Max Fair Group, a gaming technology company with headquarters in the Philippines and offices throughout Asia and Latin America, would be heavily involved in the distribution process. Velvix released a press release on Thursday stating that Max Fair would oversee the introduction, management, and delivery of Velvix’s slot machine games in the Philippines.

According to Velvix, it intends to localize a number of popular games from different areas for the Asian market. They include “BaoBao King,” the group’s best-known game, and other well-liked titles including “House of Happiness” and “Blooming Penzai.”

In a formal announcement, Velvix said that it plans to provide standalone and link devices in the Philippines. This strategy enables Max Fair to assume the lead in product launch, distribution, and general management. Through the partnership, Max Fair’s expertise in the Asian gaming market—particularly in the area of EGM goods—will be put to use.

Cyrus San, general manager of Velvix, expressed delight about the partnership and cited Max Fair’s extensive knowledge of numerous Asian gaming industries as well as their focus on EGM products. Velvix also alluded to future plans to grow outside of the Philippines, saying that near-term business endeavors are being considered in other Asian nations including Vietnam. This calculated move aligns with Velvix’s overarching goal of strengthening its position in the thriving Asian gaming industry.
