IGSA president to step down from position before end of year
In a press release on December 31, Peter DeRaedt, the president of the International Gaming Standards Association (IGSA), declared his resignation. DeRaedt worked for IGSA and its previous iteration, the Gaming Standards Association, for a combined 25 years.
Mark Pace, the IGSA’s vice president at the moment, will succeed DeRaedt as president in an acting capacity until a permanent successor is chosen, most likely during the board’s first meeting in 2024.
In appreciation of his accomplishments, DeRaedt will be named president emeritus and will serve as an advisor to the organization for the next two years.
Earle Hall, the association’s head, recognized DeRaedt’s significant accomplishments and his involvement in steering IGSA through a number of chances and difficulties. Hall said DeRaedt will leave behind a strong, well-respected company that is prepared for future expansion and innovation.
The International Game Standards Association (IGSA) is the largest organization in the world dedicated to developing and enforcing technical standards for the worldwide gaming industry.
