Grand Korea Leisure reports slight decrease in casino sales
Grand Korea Leisure, a foreign-only casino operator in South Korea, reported November casino revenues of KRW 27.9 billion (US$21.2 million), a 1.1% year-over-year decline and a 2.6% drop from October.
November saw a 2.6% month-over-month decrease in table game sales at KRW 24.9 billion (US$18.9 million), while machine sales decreased by 3.2% to KRW 3.01 billion (US$2.3 million).
Casino revenues during the first eleven months of 2023 were KRW 362.4 billion (US$276 million), a notable increase of 54.5% over the same period the year before.
Although November’s revenue dropped by 10.8% on a monthly basis to KRW 277.2 billion (US$211 million), the table decline climbed by 8.3% on an annual basis to KRW 3.03 trillion (US$2.3 billion) for the 11 months ending in November.
Under the Seven Luck brand, Grand Korea Leisure operates three casinos in South Korea: two in Seoul and one in Busan. Small declines in casino income were also recorded by Lotte Tour and Paradise Co., two other foreign-only casino operators for November.
