Aristocrat, Light & Wonder contributes to 7.7% increase in AGEM Index
November saw a 7.7% increase, or 77.65 points, in the AGEM indicator, a monthly indicator that monitors the stock performance of 12 global gaming suppliers, to 1,089.00 points. Light & Wonder and Aristocrat were the main drivers behind this growth.
The index rose 20.2%, or 183.05 points, from the same month in 2022 to the current month. The stock prices of seven out of the twelve AGEM Index companies grew month over month.
Aristocrat was identified by the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM), which creates the index, as the most significant positive contribution in November. The company’s stock price increased by 5.4%, giving the index a gain of 39.01 points. Another big contributor was Light & Wonder, which had a 20.9% increase in stock price and a 38.09-point gain.
As to AGEM, Konami Corp. had the most detrimental impact on the index, with its 5.7% stock price decline translating into a 5.26-point loss for the AGEM Index.
Moreover, in November 2023, the NASDAQ rose 10.7%, the S&P 500 grew 8.9%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 8.8% from the previous month. These are the three primary US market indices.
