Addisons appoints sports, gambling law expert as Special Counsel

Lachlan Gepp, a specialist in sports and gambling law, has joined the Australian legal company Addisons as Special Counsel. Gepp has had prominent roles in the National Rugby League (NRL) and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), giving him a lot of legal knowledge. He was Head of Legal at Sportsbet most recently.
Gepp’s background includes work in intellectual property, significant technology and broadcasting deals, regulatory compliance, and enforcement in the online gambling, sports, and casino sectors. Gepp joined Addisons, a legal practice that advises clients on gaming initiatives coming into Australia as well as interest in foreign markets.
Addisons partner Jamie Nettleton highlighted Gepp’s strong legal and industry knowledge in the Australian sports and gambling industries, notably in the areas of technology, intellectual property, enforcement, and broadcasting. Among Addisons’ clients are operators, manufacturers, service suppliers, and eSports event planners.
