10 people arrested over theft in Genting Highlands
Ten people have been arrested by Malaysian police in relation to the alleged theft of RM4.6 million ($972,000) worth of casino chips from a Genting Highlands casino.
Sources claim that the individuals were captured after many raids, and further operations and monitoring are in the works.
The casino security management at the Genting site submitted a complaint on October 28th, and that night, the police said, and that’s when the investigation began.
The accused criminals, according to the authorities, forced their way into a chamber used to store casino chips. They continued by saying that further arrests may be made and that they are still looking into the identity of the suspects.
