High roller sues MGM after losing millions due to alleged spiked drink

October 17, 2023 World Casino & HotelCrime & Legal

Dwight Manley, a 57-year-old high roller and real estate entrepreneur, is suing MGM Resorts, alleging that he lost two million dollars. According to Manley, he lost that much money after he was given a spiked cocktail then MGM employees just gave him credit rather than stepping in to stop his losses.

Manley is a regular patron of MGM and visited the MGM Grand resort in Las Vegas in 2021. He claims that he had a strange “bitter”-tasting drink on December 10. His behavior became erratic and confused when he had another drink.

He adds that, after he hurt himself and broke an ashtray, the casino employees gave him band-aids and moved him to a different table without providing any further medical care. The complaint states that despite his drunken state, he was subsequently extended an offer of a line of credit up to $3.5 million.

Manley passed out at his villa later that day. It was later found that he had ketamine in his bloodstream, according to tests performed on him in California.

Apart from suing, Manley has also engaged the services of a private detective. On www.Reward4InfoCasinoDrugging.com, he is in search of information and offers a $500,000 prize to anybody who can assist in identifying the perpetrators.

Manley’s life may be in jeopardy due to the anesthetic ketamine, which may cause a severe dissociative condition. The case not only seeks damages but also draws attention to their risks. In his defense of his financial misdeeds while under the influence of the powerful narcotic, he has brought the matter before the Nevada Gaming Control Board and the Las Vegas Metro Police.
